Description
Ma Tou Yan Ròu Guì 馬頭岩肉桂 (which means Rou Gui from Horse Head Cliff) is where the finest and most prized Rou Gui tea comes from.
Ròu Guì tea trees are grown wild in mineral rich, rocky terrain at elevations of over 350 meters on Horse Head Cliff, and are not cultivated in plantations. This makes them difficult to harvest, and as a result production is very limited. This premium Rou Gui tea is medium oxidized and roasted.
Loose leaf tea in heat sealed foiled bag, designed for traditional gong-fu tea brewing. Pre-measured tea makes brewing consistent.
Origin
Wu Yi Shan, Fujian Province
Appearance
Tea leaves are twisted into thin strips. The infusion is amber in colour.
Taste
Aromatic, bold and complex, with a long lingering finish.
